Thanks to the Winter Olympics in Sochi, all Russians heard about Rosa Khutor, but not everyone can list the main attractions of this largest Russian ski resort. Let's fill in these gaps and answer the questions: what can you do here in the summer, what can you see on your own, how to get to it?

New life

Rosa Khutor is a year-round mountain climatic resort that meets the highest standards of service and safety. It is located 70 km from the city of Sochi - in the village of Krasnaya Polyana, which is located in the picturesque valley of the Mzymta River (about 500 km above sea level). Even at the beginning of the 20th century, this village, lost among the high mountains, was one street, with several shops and a small church. Mostly settlers from Greece and Estonia lived here.

Attempts to develop the territory for tourism purposes were stopped first by the revolution, and then by the Great Patriotic War. Only in the 1960s, several tourist bases were built in Krasnaya Polyana, but only for hiking.

A new life for the village began in 1993, when the first lift was launched, and the resort received the status of a ski resort. The construction of sports facilities and the development of related infrastructure for the XXII Winter Olympics in Sochi turned the village into the capital of skiing in Russia.

The best complex in Krasnaya Polyana is the world-class ski resort Rosa Khutor. For three years in a row, this resort received the tourist “Oscar” - the highest award in the nomination “The Best Ski Resort in Russia” of the international World Ski Awards. Most recently, in November 2015.

Resort and its levels

The Winter Olympics, held in Sochi, pleased the Russians with the championship in the unofficial team medal standings. Undoubtedly, this success is the merit of the excellent slopes of Rosa Khutor, where skiers, snowboarders and freestylers competed.

The total length of the slopes is 77 km, their difficulty ranges from green to black. They have 18 lifts that can handle up to 10,000 people a day. For children, a special lift "Magic Carpet" is equipped.

I must say that the rest for children at Rosa Khutor is thought out very thoroughly:

  • in the Olympic Village there is a multifunctional children's club "Mama House", where young tourists aged 2 to 17 years old can do yoga and gymnastics, take part in outdoor competitions, entertaining and educational games and activities;
  • children's ski club "Egorka" teaches kids and teenagers the secrets of skiing;
  • Wriglet Park Burton hosts free snowboarding classes for kids;
  • in the entertainment and educational family center "Park of Miracles" there is a museum of optical illusions, a laboratory "Miracles of Science", a mirror labyrinth.

The Rosa Khutor ski complex includes several levels. The lower, base, part of the resort is called "Rose Valley", it is located at an altitude of 560 meters above sea level. This is a favorite vacation spot in both winter and summer. Indeed, Rosa Dolina strikes the imagination with the abundance of services offered and interesting sights.

Here are located:

  • excellent hotels, including hotels of Radisson Rosa Khutor, hotel chains Golden Tulip, Heliopark, Accor;
  • numerous shops, restaurants and cafes;
  • embankment of the Mzymta river;
  • Rose Square with the Town Hall;
  • Craftsmen Square;
  • lower stations serving cable cars;
  • indoor ice arena;
  • rental points, cash desks, parking, help center.

"Rose Valley" with its bright decoration and beautiful buildings resembles a European town in the Alps.

Rosa Stadium (960 meters above sea level) is a transitional level to a more complex terrain. There are two stadiums, an extreme park, Snowboard Park and Freestyle Center.

At an altitude of 1170 meters above sea level, the territory of the Rose Plateau is spread. You can get here by cable car or motorway. Here are the facilities of the former Olympic Village, hotels of a lower price range, numerous restaurants and cafes. For beginners, a winter sports school is open, there is a training slope. You can rent skis, snowboards, sledges and equipment at rental points.

To the highest point of the resort - "Rose Peak" (2320 m) - cable cars (chair and gondola) are laid. Rosa Peak offers magnificent mountain views, including the Aibga ridge and Kamenny Pillar peak, located at an altitude of 2509 meters above sea level. Only true professionals can master the slopes of Rosa Peak, especially masters of freeriding - free descent along unprepared slopes. Here are the sports facilities of the resort, as well as viewing platforms, cafes. On clear sunny days, tourists do not miss the opportunity to get a beautiful mountain tan.

Not ski season

Of course, Rosa Khutor experiences the main load in winter, but in summer there is something to do, what you can see. For tourists, there is a rental of bicycles, velomobiles and carving scooters, and hiking and horseback trails lead to numerous natural attractions.

One of the most popular routes is the “Health Path”, leading to viewing platforms from where you can look at stunning mountain landscapes. To do this, you need to cross a lot of turbulent rivers and streams, admire the waterfalls.

Another exciting entertainment is the highest rope Panda Park in Russia, located at an altitude of 1350 meters. The obstacles of the park have the height of a nine-story building, which is 23 meters above ground level. Extreme lovers will appreciate the most difficult obstacles, including hanging climbing walls, bridges, ladders, ropes and trolls. Particularly exciting troll "Flight of the Eagle" - a 240-meter long descent from one side of a mountain river to another.

At the very end of the resort at the level of "Rose Valley" is the cultural and ethnographic center "My Russia". The purpose of the center is to acquaint visitors with the diversity of cultures of peoples and nationalities living in Russia. Here you can see 11 buildings made in the national traditions of Russian cities and regions: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Suzdal, the Russian North, Kazan, Buryatia, etc.

Especially for the Rosa Khutor resort on the Black Sea coast, a well-maintained beach has been opened in Imeretinskaya Bay. The water in this bay is considered the cleanest in Sochi. You can get to the beach by bus, the journey time is 35 minutes. Another beach complex is located in the mountains near the lake. On Saturday evenings, incendiary discos are held on the beach, parties are held.

How to get there?

Getting to Krasnaya Polyana and, accordingly, to Rosa Khutor, is quite easy. You can do this both from the city of Sochi itself, and from the international airport of Sochi - Adler. Between Sochi, Adler and the village, there are automobile and railway roads, along which buses, taxis, the Lastochka high-speed train, and electric trains run both in winter and summer. From Adler, by the way, the path is shorter by 30 km.

Interesting facts: not far from Krasnaya Polyana, on the mountain river Mzymta, one of the episodes of the popular comedy film “Prisoner of the Caucasus” was filmed. The village of Krasnaya Polyana got its name from the red-brown fern growing in the valley. But "Rosa Khutor" is named after one of the first Estonian settlers - Adul Rooz.

Rosa Khutor is a ski resort created specifically for the Winter Olympics held in Sochi in 2014. People from all over the country and not only flock here to ski, swim in the sea, walk along memorable places. Rosa Khutor offers a whole range of entertainment, regardless of the season and season.

How to get there

Initially, the small town of Rosa Khutor was located at the location of the modern entertainment complex. The history of its creation goes back to 1881. The formation of the resort itself falls on 2010. Soon he received the title of the largest ski resort in Russia. Even in the first year of opening, nine kilometers of slopes and five lifts were launched.

And two years later, the resort hosted the World Cup in skiing. But Rosa Khutor received the greatest popularity after the 2014 Olympics. To accommodate everyone who wants to enjoy the Olympics on the territory of the resort, a large number of hotels, hotels, parking pavilions, parking lots, sports grounds, cafes, bars, restaurants, clubs were built. All this was very conveniently placed on both sides of the Mzymta River.

Sochi itself can be reached by plane or train. When choosing the option of how to get to Sochi, you should take into account the time spent on the road and ticket prices. There are four ways to get to the resort itself: by bus, by car, by taxi, by train. If you get from Adler, then you can get to Rosa Khutor by car or by the high-speed train "Lastochka" stop "Olympic Park".

Embankment of the Mzymta River

From Sochi, the resort can be reached by bus number 105 or by train. The journey will take approximately an hour. Buses run quite often. How much it will cost, you can find out at the box office. The approximate price will be from 150 to 250 rubles *. If you go by car, you can leave it in the parking lot for 100-400 rubles per day*. If you want to use taxi services, then it is better to order it in advance.

The cost of a taxi will be approximately 400 rubles *. This cost is much higher than by bus or train. Taking a rental car is also not cheap, in addition to the payment itself, you will need to leave a deposit. Rosa Khutor is the final stop, so it is impossible to get lost.

What to visit in Rosa Khutor

Before heading to the resort, it is worth checking the weather forecast, as it is changeable in the mountains. Be sure to take care of suitable clothing and footwear. The attendance of the resort is equally high in both winter and summer. Such popularity is explained by the fact that Rosa Khutor provides entertainment for every taste and age. To simplify the process, you can purchase a guide.

Important! Going to the resort, you should not take paid excursions. Usually they take only a couple of hours, during which the guide will take tourists to the most significant places, provide a little time to take pictures and that's it. It is best to go on your own and in the morning.

What to do in summer

Rest in Sochi in the mountains in the summer has its own indescribable charm. You can not only enjoy the magnificent nature and breathe fresh air, but also get acquainted with local attractions.

About everything in order. To begin with, the railway station, where the branch of the Sochi junction ends. Rosa Khutor is located next to the ski center. The station itself is a spacious light building with waiting rooms, cafes and restaurants, free Wi-Fi access, shopping malls for buying souvenirs. There are a lot of places, designed to stay at the same time up to eight thousand people.

Interesting! Near the station there is a cable car "Alpika-service". You can buy a ticket for it and ride to a height of one and a half thousand meters. You can get off at the "Pikhtovaya Glade" or climb to the height of "Psekhako". The cost of a subscription for walks on cable cars in 2018 is 1150 rubles. You can go down the other branch, admiring the surrounding panorama.

You can take a walk along the embankment of the Mzymta River. Around are beautiful and modern hotels, restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. The entire area is fenced and maintained in order. During a walk along the embankment, you can have time to taste Caucasian wines, cheeses, cognac, buy honey and Caucasian spices. You can buy souvenirs related to the past Olympics, the work of local craftsmen, talismans. In a word, you will not leave here empty-handed.

On Raza Square or Town Hall you can get acquainted with European style and splendor. A variety of festivals, holidays or any other entertainment events often take place here. From here you can buy a ticket for another cable car and admire all the beauties from above. Also, walking around the square, you can see a pointer to another local attraction - the path of health.

It has routes for two, one and a half hours and fifteen minutes. Throughout the journey, you can sit down, relax, have a snack, enjoy nature. On the way you come across a lake and in the summer there are sun loungers next to it. On the trail there is also a waterfall and a spring from which you can get drunk and draw water. It is possible to rent bicycles and take a bike ride along one of the special tracks. Bicycle rental for the whole day will cost 1500 rubles.*

Path of health

The cultural and ethnographic center "My Russia" presents all the beauties of our country in miniatures. Only here you can get into the Middle Ages, see the Kazan Kremlin, visit the Kuban with characteristic small houses under a thatched roof, see the Moscow Kremlin and the Urals. Such diversity just makes my head spin. In the evening, this whole world becomes even more beautiful, as the backlight turns on.

Note! It is no less interesting to visit the indoor skating rink even in summer. It is very large and figure skating competitions are held here. You can rent skates or hockey equipment. Playing hockey with a whole team is an indescribable pleasure.

The entertainment center "Galaktika" is another place that you should definitely look into. There is a whole range of entertainment for the whole family. Cinemas, a water park with a large number of water slides and attractions. The outdoor swimming pool, from which you can admire the mountains, will delight even the most demanding tourists. A family or group of friends can spend time bowling. Visiting the park is possible from 10 am to 11 pm. It will cost 1200 rubles for an adult and 900 rubles for a child.*

Panda Park - a rope town is an ideal place from which any child will be delighted. The bravest can take part in team competitions. The tracks have different lengths, and the most difficult ones are at an altitude of thousands of meters. But that's not all: the flight of the eagle attraction with a length of two hundred and forty meters will help you test yourself.

If a tourist gets tired of walking, but does not want to ride a bicycle, you can use horseback riding. The whole trip is led by a specialist instructor, sometimes through completely unique places that you can’t get to either by bike or by car. For those who do not have enough thrills, you can raft down the river on catamarans or boats.

Important! A visit to the sea in the summer is a must. Access to the Rosa Beach is absolutely free. An additional fee is charged for the provision of a sun lounger, towels, shower, playground and toilet. All this can be arranged in a complex - for half a day for 250 rubles.*

And that's not all that Rosa Khutor has to offer in the summer. You can endlessly describe the numerous bars, restaurants, cafes, nightclubs and other entertainment of the resort.

Winter fun

The most common entertainment in winter, namely in December, January and February, is skiing. Although the artificial snow system allows you to ride until April. Tracks with a total length of ninety kilometers were created for professional athletes, so they meet all safety standards. The ascent to the highest peak, to a height of two thousand and a half meters, is carried out on a lift. It takes approximately twenty minutes in total.

Ski slopes Rosa Khutor

Pay attentionFor beginners and children there are special simplified routes where you can use the services of instructors. Rental of all necessary equipment is available, as well as tubing for skiing. For advanced athletes there are special tracks marked in black and red.

After an active holiday, there is an opportunity to rest on the territory of hotels in a restaurant or cafe. It is always a pleasure to drink hot tea or coffee with delicious desserts. Also, many hotels have indoor pools that are open all year round. In addition to skiing, snowboarding, sledding, or tubing, tourists can visit the Olympic Village, take a walk around local attractions, enjoy nature, and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

When is the best time to visit Rosa Khutor - in winter or summer? There is no single answer. Travelers choose. A matter of taste and preference. If you want to ride on the slopes, enjoy the snowy mountain air, then, of course, you should go in the winter. You can swim on the beach, take a walk in flowering places only in summer. The only thing is that the resort will not disappoint anyone.

The options that Rosa Khutor can offer, where to go and what to do, are very diverse. Arriving here once, travelers want to come back again and again, because it is simply impossible to visit all the delights of the rose farm at one time. And no matter when you come in winter or summer, no one will be bored. This town at any time gives an unforgettable experience and a sense of a fairy tale.

* Prices are for 2018.

A trip to Rosa Khutor is one of the most important moments for most vacationers in Greater Sochi, which includes the city of Sochi itself, and Adler, as well as Dagomys, Khosta and other neighboring towns. One of the frequent questions that my friends asked me after returning was “Have you been to Rosa Khutor?”. In short, people are interested in this place, to visit there, as it were, a “mandatory program”.

This post is not dedicated to the description of the Rosa Khutor resort (by the way, before Rooza Khutor; Rooza is the name of one estan who once lived here). I think that I can’t give a sufficiently complete description of the place, since we were on a standard excursion, where everyone was running, quickly and by the hour.

But I will try to reflect one important point - when to go to Rosa Khutor, what day. After all, we must remember that the resort, and even more so the sites where the cable car cabins will take you, are located in the mountains. The weather below, by the sea, in Adler or Sochi can be sunny and hot, and in the mountains you will be met by clouds and dank humidity.

Guessing is not so difficult, but I'll tell you honestly prompted the locals. But for intrigue about it at the end of the article.

Our trip to Rosa Khutor

To be honest, I did it! Particularly the weather. It takes about 40 minutes to drive from the center of Adler (if there are no traffic jams). Along the way, they brought another to the source, to collect a narzanchik. True, they took 100 rubles for entry. Sunny, warm. The apiary was still there.

You only understand the scale of construction when you see it for yourself. Before that, they didn’t even know that Rosa Khutor and Krasnaya Polyana were not the same thing at all. Krasnaya Polyana is a settlement, a village where few hotels have been built, and also all local residents are trying to the best of their ability to wrest their piece of wealth from tourists.

And only then we drive to Rosa Khutor. Are there simple houses here? I did not see, maybe there is, but somehow covered by hotels, cafes and shops.

This is the central square of Rosa Khutor. Local Big Ben. There are also ticket offices and the entrance to the cable car, which has three basic levels. In general, there are about 20 cable cars, nine of which work in the summer. The main road, on which everyone makes a sightseeing trip, has closed cabins. The rest have chair seats, and they depart from the platforms to which the main cable car brings (at least that's how I understood it).

The scoreboard reports the weather conditions up there. As you can see, it is not hot at the top level, which is called Rose Peak. However, everyone moves around in shorts and t-shirts (and as it turned out, this is quite acceptable as long as there is no rain).

The cabin goes up, the Rosa Khutor set remains below. The photo is blurry because it was taken through glass. This is a minus of such a cable car - taking photos through glass is not very good.

First level, mountain view. It is still sunny, but clouds have become visible on the mountains to the right, which seem to have caught on the peaks and frowned a little.

rose peak

The highest point of the cable car is Rose Peak. When they drove up, it happened - drops appeared on the glass of the cab, a couple of times they literally drove into the cloud.

The photo shows a chairlift, which, if I'm not mistaken, leads to waterfalls. Fog is rising in places.

Literally 5 minutes later, while someone decided to part with the amount of 4700 rubles, flies over the slope on a parachute, the fog intensified, and the air was filled with moisture, which you can directly feel on your skin. And to go back - so you still have to stand in line. Nobody warned us about this line, but it is really 150 meters long. The queue goes quickly, but if it started to rain or snow even for 10-15 minutes and in general a trip to Rosa Khutor would seem very unpleasant.

While standing in line, a cloud was rising up from the gorge before our eyes.

But it was over - there was no rain. Below, as before, we were met by the sun and warmth.

And now about how to choose a day when a trip to Rosa Khutor is likely to be a pleasant event for you, not soaked with water from the sky.

When you are “downstairs”, for example, on the beach, look at the mountains in the distance. If they are like in the next photo, it’s better not to go to Rosa Khutor. Look, the peaks are covered with dense clouds. What will happen if you get there? Especially when you take the cable car.

You need to choose a day when the tops of the mountains are visible at a glance and the sky is clear. It is not always possible to predict in advance whether it will be so tomorrow. After all, many, like us, buy an excursion, and in advance, in the evening, and go the next day. The weather can change overnight.

We were lucky. There were no gloomy clouds on the tops of the mountains. In general, some of the excursions do not depart early in the morning, but in the afternoon. Therefore, you can try to buy a ticket on the same day. Or even go to Rosa Khutor on your own. On the "Swallow", for example. Not the cheapest way, but they said the views from the window are better. From Adler you can take bus 105 or 135 and return the same way. A bus tour is the cheapest way (350 rubles), but there will be all sorts of springs, apiaries and other scammers for money ...

On the second day of our stay in Sochi, in the morning we went to the Rosa Khutor ski resort. On the way, we passed Krasnaya Polyana, Gorki Gorod, the Adler-Roza Khutor train station, drove to the Olympic venues, but first things first...
Since we had a rented car, we naturally drove it, in general, moving around Sochi by car is more profitable if you have a big company than by public transport, and there’s no need to talk about comfort. For those who travel without a car, this information will be useful:

It takes about an hour to drive from our apartment, which was located next to the Sochi railway station, to Rosa Khutor. The roads throughout the route were just excellent and, most importantly, traffic free. So we drove without violating the rules and admiring the views from the window along these roads. When we were already approaching our destination, we turned off the highway towards Krasnaya Polyana to drive along it and see what it is like.

Already in Krasnaya Polyana itself, you clearly understand that this place is very different from the usual, even the mountainous part of Russia. Everything is very neat, stylish and at the European level. Very reminiscent of the landscapes of Austria, Switzerland and other mountainous European countries with their houses and mountain roads.

Olympic Rosa Khutor

Immediately before Rosa Khutor itself, we turned right towards the serpentine and the Olympic bobsleigh track, you can also get to the Rosa Khutor Olympic Village along this road. But looking ahead, I’ll say that you won’t be able to go there, the guards won’t let you in if you don’t have a pass. We did not manage to see the bobsleigh track - it was closed, so only photos near the track itself.

And here is a photo of the serpentine we were driving along. Climbing here is probably only for the sake of the track itself and good photos of Rosa Khutor, especially if you climb higher.

After a short mountain walk, we nevertheless reached the Rosa Khutor cable car.

At the entrance, many people leave cars along the curb at their own peril and risk, which I do not recommend. Because they earn money from parking a car, then you should understand that tow trucks are working quite actively. Even though they weren't there that day. In Rosa Khutor there is a covered multi-level paid parking, the security guard will tell you how to get there when you let your car into the ski village. The cost of parking a car in Rosa Khutor from May to December 100 rubles per hour in all parking lots except P1, where the cost will be 200 rubles per hour. Having parked the car and changed into warm clothes, I recommend everyone who came here in November to do this. it will be windy and quite cold on Rosa Peak. Consider especially clothing for children if they are traveling with you. We bought tickets for the lift without any problems, directly at the cable car itself. Children under 5 years old and adults over 70 years old are admitted free of charge, for the rest you will have to buy tickets. The cost of the most expensive and most interesting ticket to Rosa Peak is 1950 rubles per person.

Roza Khutor cable car ticket prices

I recommend taking tickets exactly to Rosa Peak and then you will definitely like everything very much :) In the meantime, a few photos of our walk on the Rosa Khutor cable car with a visit to the open section of the cable car - Wolf Rock and the Olympic Village.

And this is Rose Peak

In summer, spring and autumn - when the resort does not work as a ski resort, athletes jump from Rosa Peak on a parachute - wing.

(add video file)

Well, we warmed up with hot pancakes and cocoa, bought at Rose Peak, gradually began to descend back. Having descended, they did not deny themselves the pleasure of wandering around the small, but very beautiful European hotel village of Rosa Khutor. We took pictures of the embankment and the alley of stars with our athletes, walked along the central square and went to our car.

There we had a bite to eat, because. We took sandwiches and a thermos of tea with us. Akhshtyrskaya cave awaits us further...

Akhshtyrsky caves in Sochi

Approaching the turn to the Akhshtyrskaya cave, many people leave their cars in an unpaved parking lot next to the road and continue on foot. Although it is written there that it is only 500 meters to go, it is not so. Therefore, I recommend driving along this dirt road, by the way, we have a Hyundai accent ball, so that all cars in dry weather will pass through it. And at the end of the path you will find a small parking lot an 10-15, where you can leave your car absolutely free of charge. Now you will have only 50 meters to the cave. I especially recommend doing this if older people are traveling with you, because. the return climb to the parking lot along the highway will be difficult. Once upon a time, manakhs lived in this cave, as evidenced by this inscription.

But directly the descent to this cave along a sheer cliff. The descent is quite steep, although it is equipped with special guards, it will be difficult for many.

In this cave you can see the rock paintings of our distant ancestors, such petroglyphs can still be seen in Karelia

Going deeper into the cave, you can find places where ancient people slept, and in the very depths of the cave there was once a monastic cave temple, stand by the icon itself, which was shown at the very beginning of the post about the Akhshtyrskaya cave in the vicinity of Sochi

For the Winter Olympics in Sochi, a mountain cluster was built - the Rosa Khutor ski resort, which welcomes guests all year round. Rosa Khutor resort structure

The basic level of the Rosa Khutor resort is called Rosa Valley(560 m). While everyone is queuing at the lift ticket office, go take pictures on the podium of champions and at the Town Hall, where the information center is located (opening hours 09:00 - 19:00). We took a map of the resort and a leaflet "20 reasons to visit Rosa Khutor".

Main Rosa Khutor Hotels are located in Rosa Dolina and offer very favorable conditions for accommodation in the summer. Guests receive a ski pass, daily transfer to Adler Beach, parking and other services free of charge or at affordable prices.

Valset Apartments are spacious apartments for the whole family.

If you want to stay in the mountains of Sochi for a longer period or during the ski season, take a look. Buying everything in a complex (air tickets + hotel + transfer) is more profitable and more convenient.

Take walks in the Rose Valley in the second half of the day, and climb to the top in the first half. Even if you bought tickets online, you need to go to the box office to get a card for the lifts. Different types of walking tickets include different options. If you want to ride more, choose the Discovery Day with an unlimited number of ascents and descents on all working cable cars. Walking ticket "Way to the Heights - Waterfalls Park" includes 1 ascent and 1 descent. There are tickets with lunch, children's, family fare. The card is applied to the turnstiles at the entrance to each lift, the attendants help to enter and exit the booth.

The second level of the resort (Mountain Olympic Village) is located at an altitude of 1170 m. There are shops in the main building, you can change clothes inside. A complex lunch at the Berloga restaurant costs 350 rubles (included in walking tickets with lunch), music plays in the open area and they offer to take pictures in national costumes. Hotels on Rosa Plateau attract with affordable prices and panoramic mountain views. Closest to the ski lifts are Rosa Ski Inn, Riders Lodge, Rosa Springs Sanatorium.

Cableway Reserve forest leads to the station Alcove(1350 m). At this level, there are two types of entertainment at once: the rope Panda Park and the Wolf Rock chair lift. You can ride the six-seat lift without restrictions, there is no way out at the bottom. Panda Park for those who like to overcome obstacles at height, the cost of one route is from 350 rubles.

To the highest point Rosa Peak(2320 m) raises 2 lifts: Quartet and Caucasian Express, we passed the Rosa site (1600 m) without transfers. The highlight of Rosa Peak is the 360° panorama of the mountains and the sea. To see more, it is worth taking a walk along the hiking route to the Stone Pillar (2509 m), having a picnic along the way. On the Aibga mountain range ride horses and quad bikes. Unfortunately, the day of our trip to Rosa Khutor turned out to be cloudy, so we stood in the fog, froze and drove back. Those who are lucky with the weather get great photos. The number of visitors to the cafe-restaurant "Vysota 2320" also directly depends on the weather conditions.

Summer fun at Rosa Khutor

In addition to the already mentioned Panda Park, walking routes (trekking) are popular on Rosa Khutor in summer. We took a walk Path of health, which starts from the beach in Rose Valley. Almost everyone can pass this wellness tourist route, there are many places for recreation, shade from trees and beautiful views along the way. Choose the difficulty and duration (15 minutes - 1.5 hours - 2 hours), we have passed the middle ring. At the entrance, on one side, there is a waterfall, on the other, a mountain spring, you can drink water and take it with you.

Rosa Khutor has 3 bike trails: X-traverse - 3076 m, Rosa Downhill - 2773 m, V-One - 2034 m. /adult. Most of the resort guests ride along Rosa Valley on ordinary city bikes, segways or velomobiles (rental from 200 rubles per hour). Rafting on the mountain river Mzymta is a separate adventure. Expeditions of different levels of complexity are organized by the Active Recreation center located on Roza Dolina (Mzymta square). You can sign up for Nordic walking classes, go on a thematic tour or go on an expedition with an instructor.

Rosa Beach small, you can swim for free, additional services are beneficial to take in the complex: 250 rubles for half a day include the use of a towel, a deck chair, a shower, a changing room, a mini-pool, a playground and a toilet. We took towels and swimwear with us, but there was no desire to swim.

All concerts and shows at Rosa Khutor take place in concert complex "Rose Hall"(st. Lavender embankment, 6).

For those who came to Rosa Khutor for one day, the second half is busy with walks along the Lavender embankment, shopping and dining in bars and restaurants. There are many things to do: stand on the avenue of stars, rub the bull's golden horn for good luck, take pictures with the Olympic mascots, buy souvenirs. On the playground in front of the Town Hall you can play board games, children are entertained by animators. We found the only Perekrestok grocery store in Rosa Dolina (Lavender Embankment 2), where we bought fruits and drinks and sat in a cozy square in front of the Radisson Hotel. We walked back to the station.
